Verification request failed
Webmaster UI shows verifyRequestFailed when the verify HTTP request fails (network/5xx) before a specific ownership result.
Why this happens
Connectivity, server error, or session issue — not necessarily wrong DNS/meta. If the server returns Verification failed, that article applies instead.
Diagnose and fix
1. Refresh and retry; check connection.
2. Sign in again if the session expired.
3. Admin: check verify route logs.
