Incorrect password
The download password gate rejected the password. The API often says “Incorrect file password.”; the UI may show the shorter Incorrect password. line.
Why this happens
Typed password does not match the file’s access password hash. Empty field is Enter the file password. Network failures are Could not verify password. Too many tries may rate-limit.
Diagnose and fix
1. Visitor: re-enter the password from the uploader (watch caps lock).
2. Uploader: reset the password under edit file / My Files and share again.
3. Owner signed in as the uploader usually bypasses the gate.
4. Wait if you hit password attempt rate limits.
