That code did not work — try again
The 6-digit authenticator code was rejected (AUTH_TOTP_INVALID → That code did not work. Try again.). Also used as login-form fallback when confirm returns no clearer error.
Why this happens
Wrong code, clock skew on the phone, reused code, or typing a code from the wrong authenticator account. Distinct from empty-code Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app and from expired session cookies.
Diagnose and fix
1. Wait for the next code; enter it carefully (no spaces).
2. Enable automatic time on the phone (TOTP is time-based).
3. Confirm you are using the entry for this site.
4. After too many tries, wait out rate limits; staff can Reset user 2FA / sessions if the device is lost.
