How to edit an email template
Enable/disable, edit subject and body, keep %variables%, Send test, Save. Transport is Main → Email delivery.

Where to find it
Admin → Settings → Emails → pick a template
How it works
1. Open a template
2. Toggle enabled (disabled templates are skipped silently at send time)
3. Edit subject and body (plain text; subject ≤ 500, body ≤ 100000)
4. Keep %variable% placeholders listed for that template (click chips to copy)
5. Reset to default restores catalog text
6. Send test to the test inbox, then Save email templates
Delivery transport is Settings → Main → Email delivery - templates only control content.
Non-English locales may overlay subject/body from locale files at send time; English uses the DB/catalog.
Common problems
Broken links in mail
A %…_url% placeholder was removed. Put it back from the variable list.
Template edited but never sends
Template disabled, or the event never fired (e.g. verification only when require-verify is on).
