Files premium by default
New uploads get the Premium file flag — guests/free users cannot download them. Existing files unchanged.
Files premium by default
When on, new uploads are flagged premium (isPremium) so only Premium / Premium Pro (per product rules) can download them.
Where to find it
Admin → Settings → Files → Uploads → Files premium by default
Setting key: toggle.file_prem_only_default (defaults off)
How it works
Applies to new uploads only — not a global ban on downloading older free public files.
A file can be public (link/landing visible) and still premium-gated for the actual download. Combine carefully with Files public by default.
Common problems
Every new upload requires premium
This default was left on. Turn it off; fix flags on files that already uploaded if needed.
